114. Surah An-Naas Mankind)

1. قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِO

1. آپ عرض کیجئے کہ میں (سب) انسانوں کے رب کی پناہ مانگتا ہوںo

1. Beseech: ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of (the whole of) mankind,

2. مَلِكِ النَّاسِO

2. جو (سب) لوگوں کا بادشاہ ہےo

2. Who is the King of (all) mankind,

3. إِلَهِ النَّاسِO

3. جو (ساری) نسلِ انسانی کا معبود ہےo

3. Who is the God of the (whole) human race,

4. مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِO

4. وسوسہ انداز (شیطان) کے شر سے جو (اﷲ کے ذکر کے اثر سے) پیچھے ہٹ کر چھپ جانے والا ہےo

4. From the evil of the slinking whisperer (Satan) who hides himself withdrawing (from the influence of Allah’s remembrance),

5. الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِO

5. جو لوگوں کے دلوں میں وسوسہ ڈالتا ہےo

5. Who whispers into the hearts of mankind,

6. مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِO

6. خواہ وہ (وسوسہ انداز شیطان) جنات میں سے ہو یا انسانوں میں سےo

6. Whether he (the whispering Satan) comes from the jinn or mankind.’

 

 

 

113. Surah Al-Falaq (The Daybreak)

1. قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِO

1. آپ عرض کیجئے کہ میں (ایک) دھماکے سے انتہائی تیزی کے ساتھ (کائنات کو) وجود میں لانے والے رب کی پناہ مانگتا ہوںo

1. Beseech: ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak (or Who brought the universe into existence with an explosion extremely fast),

2. مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَO

2. ہر اس چیز کے شر (اور نقصان) سے جو اس نے پیدا فرمائی ہےo

2. From the evil influence (and harmfulness) of everything that He has created,

3. وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَO

3. اور (بالخصوص) اندھیری رات کے شر سے جب (اس کی) ظلمت چھا جائےo

3. And (in particular) from the evil of the murky night when (its) darkness prevails,

4. وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِO

4. اور گرہوں میں پھونک مارنے والی جادوگرنیوں (اور جادوگروں) کے شر سےo

4. And from the evil of those women (and men) who practise magic on knots by blowing,

5. وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَO

5. اور ہر حسد کرنے والے کے شر سے جب وہ حسد کرےo

5. And from the mischief of every envious person when he envies.’

112. Surah Al-Ikhlaas or At-Tauhid (The Purity)

1. قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌO

1. (اے نبئ مکرّم!) آپ فرما دیجئے: وہ اﷲ ہے جو یکتا ہےo

1. (O Esteemed Messenger!) Proclaim: ‘He is Allah, Who is the One.

2. اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُO

2. اﷲ سب سے بے نیاز، سب کی پناہ اور سب پر فائق ہےo

2. Allah is the Transcendent of all, the Protector and Far-Superior to all.

3. لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْO

3. نہ اس سے کوئی پیدا ہوا ہے اور نہ ہی وہ پیدا کیا گیا ہےo

3. He has not begotten any, nor is He begotten.

4. وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌO

4. اور نہ ہی اس کا کوئی ہمسر ہےo

4. Nor is there anyone equal to Him.’

 

 

111. Surah Al-Masad (The Palm Fiber)

1. تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّO

1. ابولہب کے دونوں ہاتھ ٹوٹ جائیں اور وہ تباہ ہو جائے (اس نے ہمارے حبیب پر ہاتھ اٹھانے کی کوشش کی ہے)o

1. Perished be the two hands of Abu Lahab and be he perished himself (he has pointed his finger to Our Beloved)!

2. مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَO

2. اسے اس کے (موروثی) مال نے کچھ فائدہ نہ پہنچایا اور نہ ہی اس کی کمائی نےo

2. Neither His (inherited) wealth nor his earned riches have given him any benefit.

3. سَيَصْلَى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍO

3. عنقریب وہ شعلوں والی آگ میں جا پڑے گاo

3. Soon he will tumble into the Flaming Fire,

4. وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِO

4. اور اس کی (خبیث) عورت (بھی) جو (کانٹے دار) لکڑیوں کا بوجھ (سر پر) اٹھائے پھرتی ہے، (اور ہمارے حبیب کے تلووں کو زخمی کرنے کے لئے رات کو ان کی راہوں میں بچھا دیتی ہے)o

4. And his (damned, wretched) wife (too) who carries (on her head) the burden of (thorny) twigs (and spreads them in the way of Our Beloved, to injure the holy soles of his feet).

5. فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍO

5. اس کی گردن میں کھجور کی چھال کا (وہی) رسّہ ہوگا (جس سے کانٹوں کا گٹھا باندھتی ہے)o

5. Around her neck will be (the same) palm-fibre rope (she uses to bind the bunch of thorny twigs).

110. Surah An-Nasr (The Help)

Sura : Madani

1. إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُO

1. جب اﷲ کی مدد اور فتح آپہنچےo

1. When there comes Allah’s help and victory,

2. وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًاO

2. اور آپ لوگوں کو دیکھ لیں (کہ) وہ اﷲ کے دین میں جوق دَر جوق داخل ہو رہے ہیںo

2. And you see people joining Allah’s Din (Religion) in droves,

3. فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًاO

3. تو آپ (تشکراً) اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح فرمائیں اور (تواضعاً) اس سے استغفار کریں، بیشک وہ بڑا ہی توبہ قبول فرمانے والا (اور مزید رحمت کے ساتھ رجوع فرمانے والا) ہےo

3. Then glorify Allah’s praise (in gratitude), exalting Him, and beg Him (humbly) for pardon. Surely, He is Ever-Relenting and Oft-Returning (with evermore compassion).

109. Surah Al-Kaafiroon (The Disbelievers)

Sura : Makki

1. قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَO

1. آپ فرما دیجئے: اے کافرو!o

1. Say: ‘O disbelievers!

2. لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَO

2. میں ان (بتوں) کی عبادت نہیں کرتا جنہیں تم پوجتے ہوo

2. I do not worship those (idols) that you worship.

3. وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُO

3. اور نہ تم اس (رب) کی عبادت کرنے والے ہو جس کی میں عبادت کرتا ہوںo

3. Nor do you worship (the Lord) Whom I worship.

4. وَلَا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْO

4. اور نہ (ہی) میں (آئندہ کبھی) ان کی عبادت کرنے والا ہوں جن (بتوں) کی تم پرستش کرتے ہوo

4. And I shall never worship those (idols) that you worship.

5. وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُO

5. اور نہ (ہی) تم اس کی عبادت کرنے والے ہو جس (رب) کی میں عبادت کرتا ہوںo

5. Nor will you (ever) worship (the Lord) Whom I worship.

6. لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِO

6. (سو) تمہارا دین تمہارے لئے اور میرا دین میرے لئے ہےo

6. (So) you have your din (religion), and I have my Din (Religion).’

108. Surah Al-Kauthar (A River in Paradise)

Sura : Makki

1. إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَO

1. بیشک ہم نے آپ کو (ہر خیر و فضیلت میں) بے انتہا کثرت بخشی ہے٭o

کوثر سے مراد حوض کوثر یا نہر جنت بھی ہے اور قرآن اور نبوت و حکمت بھی، فضائل و معجزات کی کثرت یا اصحاب و اتباع اور امت کی کثرت بھی مراد لی گئی ہے۔ رفعت ذکر اور خلق عظیم بھی مراد ہے اور دنیا و آخرت کی نعمتیں بھی، نصرت الٰہیہ اور کثرت فتوحات بھی مراد ہیں اور روز قیامت مقام محمود اور شفاعت عظمیٰ بھی مراد لی گئی ہے۔

1. Indeed, We have bestowed on you an infinite abundance (every kind of superiority, bliss and bounty).*

* Al-Kawthar has various connotations: The reservoir of al-Kawthar, the stream in Paradise, the Holy Qur’an, the Prophethood and the Prophetic wisdom, limitless bounties and countless miracles, innumerable followers and a massive Umma (Community), the exalted name and divinely eminent conduct, the bounties here and Hereafter, Allah’s assistance and numerous victories, the Praiseworthy Station on the Last Day and the divine privilege of Intercession.

2. فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْO

2. پس آپ اپنے رب کے لئے نماز پڑھا کریں اور قربانی دیا کریں (یہ ہدیۂ تشکرّ ہے)o

2. So pray to your Lord and offer sacrifice (a token of gratitude).

3. إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُO

3. بیشک آپ کا دشمن ہی بے نسل اور بے نام و نشاں ہوگاo

3. Indeed, your enemy will remain childless and his race will be cut off.

107. Surah Al-Maa’oon (The Small Kindnesses)

Sura : Makki

1. أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِO

1. کیا آپ نے اس شخص کو دیکھا جو دین کو جھٹلاتا ہےo

1. Have you seen him who denies the Din (Religion)?

2. فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَO

2. تو یہ وہ شخص ہے جو یتیم کو دھکے دیتا ہے (یعنی یتیموں کی حاجات کو ردّ کرتا اور انہیں حق سے محروم رکھتا ہے)o

2. So he is the one who pushes away the orphan (i.e., rejects the needs of the orphans and deprives them of their right),

3. وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِO

3. اور محتاج کو کھانا کھلانے کی ترغیب نہیں دیتا (یعنی معاشرے سے غریبوں اور محتاجوں کے معاشی اِستحصال کے خاتمے کی کوشش نہیں کرتا)o

3. And does not promote the cause of feeding the poor (i.e., does not strive to end the economic exploitation of the poor and the needy).

4. فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَO

4. پس افسوس (اور خرابی) ہے ان نمازیوں کے لئےo

4. So woe to those worshippers,

5. الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَO

5. جو اپنی نماز (کی روح) سے بے خبر ہیں (یعنی انہیں محض حقوق اﷲ یاد ہیں حقوق العباد بھلا بیٹھے ہیں)o

5. Who are unaware of (the spirit of) their Prayers (i.e., they are mindful only of the rights of Allah, but are heedless of the rights of fellow human beings),

6. الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاؤُونَO

6. وہ لوگ (عبادت میں) دکھلاوا کرتے ہیں (کیونکہ وہ خالق کی رسمی بندگی بجا لاتے ہیں اور پسی ہوئی مخلوق سے بے پرواہی برت رہے ہیں)o

6. Who show off (their worship, for they only render a formal service to the Creator and are inconsiderate to the oppressed humanity),

7. وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَO

7. اور وہ برتنے کی معمولی سی چیز بھی مانگے نہیں دیتےo

7. And who refuse to lend a worthless small object of use even on demand!

106. Surah Al-Quraish

Sura : Makki

1. لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍO 1. قریش کو رغبت دلانے کے سبب سےo 1. To awake drive amongst the Quraysh, 2. إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِO 2. انہیں سردیوں اور گرمیوں کے (تجارتی) سفر سے مانوس کر دیاo 2. They were acclimatized to the summer and winter (commercial) trips. 3. فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِO 3. پس انہیں چاہئے کہ اس گھر (خانہ کعبہ) کے رب کی عبادت کریں (تاکہ اس کی شکر گزاری ہو)o 3. So they should worship the Lord of this (Sacred) House (Ka‘ba, to give Him thanks), 4. الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍO 4. جس نے انہیں بھوک (یعنی فقر و فاقہ کے حالات) میں کھانا دیا (یعنی رِزق فراہم کیا) اور (دشمنوں کے) خوف سے امن بخشا (یعنی محفوظ و مامون زندگی سے نوازا)o 4. Who has fed them in hunger (i.e., provided them sustenance in starving conditions) and secured them from fear (of foes i.e., blessed them with secure and peaceful life).
